New Research Emerges on “Wonder Herb”

There’s new research about an herb with potent health benefits.  This medicinal plant

  • Is rich in antioxidants and minerals such as magnesium and chromium
  • Helps prevent Type 2 diabetes
  • Protects your heart from developing an altered rhythm
  • Can lower the incidence of Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and other forms of dementia
  • May prevent certain cancers, especially liver cancer
  • Wards off depression

This versatile herb is prepared from the berry of a tropical plant.  After the berry is harvested, it’s dried and roasted.  Then the berries are ground into a powder which can be used to create an infusion in hot water.

It’s coffee.

On the whole, medical experts are beginning to agree that the positive virtues of coffee outweigh (at least for most people) any of the negatives.

But whether you’re a confirmed latte-aholic or just think you’ll jump on the bandwagon with this new health drink, be aware of a few of the possible downsides.

If you load your coffee up with sugar, whipped cream, or other add-ins, you’ll also be adding a lot of calories.  Keep it simple.

And too much coffee can make you jittery, keep you awake at night, or put you at risk of dehydration. (Ever notice how coffee makes you head to the bathroom? It’s a potent diuretic.  You’ve got to supplement your coffee with extra water.)

But 2, 3, or even 4 cups a day?  You’re probably giving your health a boost.

Enjoy.

P.S. – Two Cautions

1. For some people, excess coffee consumption can trigger symptoms of acid reflux.

2. Research shows a negative health risk if you drink more than 48 ounces of coffee a day. That’s six “cups” – but it’s equal to just three Starbucks grande’s.

WHAT A GOOD INFORMATIONAL ARTICLE. THANKS RON. AS A COFFEE DRINKER 2-3 CUPS A DAY, I WONDERED ABOUT ITS’ EFFECTS ON MY SYSTEM, EVEN IF I DID NOT INTEND TO GIVE IT UP.

YOUR WEBSITE IS VERY GOOD AND THE INTRODUCTION YOU USE WITH THAT FABULOUS PAINTING (A MIRO OR A JUAN GRIS?) IS LOVELY!
